Homecourt

HomeCourt is a very important time of the day for each girl attending Your Place Afterschool. This is a group time for the members to look at issues they encounter in their adolescent development. Each day the girl attends Your Place Afterschool she will attend a group time, HomeCourt, for 30 minutes. During this time she will check in to see how her day went, discuss possible issues and various topics that are of interest. Topics discussed will include but be limited to friendships, peer relationships, body image, diversity, and future career goals. Special guest speakers will be scheduled for this time. This part of the afternoon will be vital to your success at Your Place Afterschool because this where you will begin to build your sense of belongingness and community. This is where you will find your true self.
